60 years ago a guy could count on being drafted for two years unless he received a deferment. However there was an option if you were 18 or 19 years old. You could enlist for one year active duty with six years in the active reserve. In my case the experience sent me a message.

According to a Harris Interactive Survey…

Only 20 percent of respondents feel very passionate about their jobs
While 33 percent believe they have reached a dead end in their career
And 21 percent are eager to change careers.

According to this survey less than half of all respondents were satisfied with their present career path.

With practitioners struggling to apply new amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure dealing with electronically stored information, the recent opinion in In Re NTL, Inc., illustrates the dangers of missteps in electronic discovery. Magistrate Judge Andrew J. Peck administered the harsh sanction of an adverse inference instruction for spoliation of electronic evidence.

We are all taken for guaranteed once in a while. And sometimes we dont even mind it, if it is done by someone whom we love and is really close to us. But if it is a regular thing that keeps on repeating itself, it surly hurts and irritates. This world is full of people who are complaining about been taken for guaranteed by their bosses, colleagues, spouse, friends, brother and sisters and even by their own children. They hate it, but never really are able to change it.
